Remake Scotland

Meet our latest member of the month for the Perth & Kinross Social Enterprise Group, facilitated by GrowBiz. Remake Scotland is an environmental charity base in Crieff.

Remake Scotland have been delivering innovative waste reduction services to the community since 2011, helping to divert over 237,184kg from landfill at their Muthill Road Reuse Hub. Recently they announced extended opening hours for this site, which will now be open between 10am – 4pm, Tuesday to Saturday.

The charity also delivers a plethora of other services, all focused on helping the community to live more sustainably. These include a programme of reuse workshops, education events with schools, nurseries and community groups, a donation-based repair café where clothing and household items are repaired, and a free community tool library with over 300 items available to borrow.

They also run an inter-generational volunteer programme which supports over 40 volunteers, aged between 14 to 85, to undertake 3500 hours of volunteering each year.

In September, the charity launched a new High Street project, Food for Good, which is dedicated to revolutionising how the local community interacts with food and household products and making it easier and more accessible for people to make sustainable food choices.
