GrowBiz are excited to welcome Pheona Matovu to our Women's Enterprise Network - social entrepreneur and the co-founder of Radiant and Brighter Community Interest Company an award winning social enterprise.

Pheona and her husband founded Radiant and Brighter in 2012 following their own experiences - unable to work for 5 years due to immigration controls. They found that people not only lost hope due to difficult circumstances but also lost their confidence and previously acquired skills due to structural barriers.

The work of Radiant and Brighter is empowering migrants, black and ethnic minority communities to rebuild their confidence and improving their skills. Moreover, they are supporting business and organisations to be able to understand the value that different communities bring to Scotland.
